I’m Mark Bird, a children’s book illustrator based in Manchester.

For over fifteen years I’ve worked with publishers, authors and educational organisations, creating illustrations for picture books, book covers, educational titles and character-led projects.

My work focuses on visual storytelling, character development and creating engaging worlds for young readers. Whether working on a single illustration or an entire book, I aim to produce artwork that supports the story and rewards careful observation.

Clients have included Usborne, Quarto, Cambridge University Press, the BBC and a range of independent authors and publishers.
